Jam HR privacy policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026.
This policy explains how Entitled Solutions Pvt. Ltd. handles information in Jam HR, the employee HR app (Android package com.entitled.jamhr), and its connected HR services. It covers workplace HR features, rather than the separate lending or other benefits services that may be advertised on our website.
Your employer provides your workplace account and employment records. The information and actions available in Jam HR depend on your employer's setup and your account permissions.
Information used by Jam HR
- Account and employment details: registered mobile number, name, employee identifiers, employer, role, department, designation, joining date and reporting relationships.
- Attendance: check-in and check-out times, attendance history and the location provided with attendance actions.
- Leave: balances, leave types, dates, reasons and approval decisions. Authorised managers may see requests from their team.
- Pay and profile: employer-provided payslips, earnings, deductions and bank/provident-fund information where available. Some identifiers are displayed in masked form.
- Assistant content: messages, conversation history and relevant workplace context used to answer questions or prepare supported actions.
- Device and service information: notification tokens, device platform, technical connection information, crash reports and performance diagnostics. Diagnostics can be associated with an employee identifier.
Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in assistant messages or leave reasons.
How information is used
We use information to verify sign-in, provide workplace records, support attendance and leave workflows, deliver payslips and notifications, answer assistant requests, provide support and diagnose service problems. Supported assistant actions may require your confirmation before they are carried out.
Your workplace's authorised HR users and managers receive information needed for their roles. An account's permissions determine which records and actions it can access.
Location and device permissions
Jam HR requests foreground location access for attendance actions such as checking in and out. Precise coordinates may be sent to your workplace's HR service with an attendance action, including an action initiated through the assistant. The app does not request background location access.
Map previews use Mapbox and send the displayed coordinates to that service. Address lookup uses your device's location services. You can change location and notification permissions in device settings; refusing a permission can affect the feature that needs it.
Service providers and disclosures
The HR backend at api.jamhr.app processes requests. Providers supporting hosting, authentication, notifications, maps, diagnostics and assistant processing receive information needed for those services. The service uses AWS hosting and Cloudflare, MSG91 for mobile verification, Expo and platform notification services, Mapbox for map previews, and Sentry for diagnostics.
Assistant requests can send messages and relevant HR context to AI service providers. Depending on the configured assistant, these can include OpenRouter and its selected model provider, Anthropic or OpenAI. Do not submit information that your workplace has not authorised you to use with the assistant.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law or to investigate misuse, enforce agreements or protect the service and its users.
Storage and security
The app connects to its configured backend using HTTPS and uses device secure storage for native sign-in tokens. Some account information and app state are cached on the device. The registered mobile number may be retained to prefill sign-in. Signing out clears session data but does not delete server records.
Keep your device and verification codes secure. Do not share your sign-in code with another person.
Retention, correction and deletion
Information is retained while needed to provide the workplace service and to meet employment-record, legal, dispute-resolution and contractual obligations. Retention depends on the type of record and your employer's requirements; signing out or uninstalling the app does not erase employment records or assistant history held by the service.
To request access, correction, account closure or deletion, contact your workplace HR administrator or email [email protected] with the subject “Jam HR privacy request”. We may need to verify your identity and coordinate with your employer. Some records may need to be retained to meet applicable obligations. Do not email a verification code, password, payslip or bank-account details with your request.
Intended audience
Jam HR is intended for workplace users aged 18 and over. It is not intended for children.
